Bad Saarow in the perfect starting point for various trips in the surrounding region. In 60 - 90 minutes by car you can reach some of the most beautiful regions the state of Brandenburg has to offer.

Have you ever visited the German capital Berlin? – located just 70 km north.west of Bad Saarow the city is easy to get to using public transport. From Bad Saarow you can take the OE 35 train to Fürstenwalde and then the RE 1 takes you to Alexanderplatz, right at the centre of Berlin. In less than an hour you can be at the centre of the hustle and bustle of the big city. The new autobahn means that Berlin is also just an hour's drive away.

The state capital of Potsdam is around 90 km west of Bad Saarow and can also be reached using the same public transport. This journey takes around 90 minutes. By car you can get to Potsdam via Babelsberg, the historical centre of the German film industry.

The Schlaubetal valley with its attractive nature, forests, mills and countless cycling and walking trails, is best reached by car. Via the "gate to the Schlaubetal" - the small town of Müllrose approx. 40 km east of Bad Saarow you can reach this cycling and walking paradise in around 45 minutes.

A bit further away, but also to the east of Bad Saarow, the town of Neuzelle 70 km away offers a well-maintained monastery complex and monastery brewery.

One of the most popular destinations in the region is the UNESCO Biosphere Reserve and "water labyrinth": the Spreewald forest.
Far beyond the state borders, the region is also well-known for its uniqueness and regional products. 70 km south of Bad Saarow you will find Lübben, Lübbenau and Burg, all large villages in the Spreewald forest, and perfect starting points for various tours on the waterways.

Surrounded by a beautiful and romantic setting with fairy-tale views and legendary lakes, the nature park of Märkische Schweiz is 45 km north of Bad Saarow, with its small but beautiful spa town of Buckow am Schermützelsee.
